DTS Development secures contract with Cheshire based, Weaver Vale Housing Trust

Property and development specialists, DTS Development has today announced that it will be working with Weaver Vale Housing Trust to support delivery of its affordable housing programme over the next 13 months.

Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an ambitious development programme that will see it acquire and build around 460 new homes for affordable rent or shared ownership by the end of the corporate plan in 2023, with a further 150 homes annually in following years. Working across the Cheshire and Warrington area the Trust is on a steep upward trajectory when it comes to development as Jo Fallon, Assistant Director of Development explains:

“The Trust has only been developing new homes for the last couple of years and so we are still in the midst of bringing together our full in-house function. We appointed Laura from DTS Development as she has a strong track record in business development for new affordable housing and her broad skillset will enable us to adapt to the needs of the business. Having someone who will be able to get to grips with the projects, the in-house team and the organisation quickly is vital and Laura’s experience will enable her to hit the ground running.”

DTS will play an instrumental role in helping the Trust build its pipeline development programme, helping to ensure that a sustainable number of new homes are coming through the development approval process to help Weaver Vale meet its 2023 target. With a mix of full pre-contract project management through to on-site programme delivery, it is highly likely that DTS will provide a real inception to completion service on a number of sites.
